Policy Delete Statuses

There are controls in place to manage when and how a policy is deleted in OIPA. The options for defining policy delete statuses are shown below.

  • A StatusChange business rule can be attached to a transaction to define the status the policy moves to once the transaction is processed as an activity in OIPA. When the activity is processed, it can move the policy to a shadowed/deleted status if configured to do so.
  • The PolicyScreen business rule can also be used to define the status a policy moves to when it is deleted in OIPA. Typically, only policies that are pending can be deleted. The <ShadowPolicy> element in the PolicyScreen business rule determines the status the policy moves to when it is deleted in OIPA. The CompanyCosmetics business rule determines the statuses that can be selected in the <ShadowStatusCode> element on the PolicyScreen business rule.
